See! This makes sense!
Constantly ripping on Vancouver and then ranking them 4th doesn't!

Yeah nothing more crazy than saying how most of the teams are pretty good, how you can't really decide between them and that anything could happen, then pointing out that making an accurate guess idiotic and impossible than doing it anyways.

Oh wait, I thought of one thing:

reading all that and then criticizing the order.

Like come on, I'm sure there's enough real things to pick apart without resorting to absolute knit picking and complaining about the smallest of things.

You are absolutely delusional. The Met and the Central are the best divisions in the NHL. The only reason the Pacific isn’t the worst is because the Atlantic is so bad. The Coyotes and Canucks will finish first and second, from the bottom that is. The Canucks are the Senators of the west. Regardless of how this division shakes out it will only have 3 teams in the playoffs because the Central is so good. If I had to guess I would take SAN Jose, LA, and Calgary. Edmonton was bad last year and they have done nothing to improve over the summer. Vegas lost Perron and Neal but signed Stastny.

I remember the days when my preseasons were filled with insane optimism. The Coyotes will finish below the Ducks.

The Pacific did have 4 teams make the playoffs last season.

Completely agree... Metro has won the last 3 cups, Central is stacked this year, yet Pacific may overleap Atlantic as latter has just 3 serious teams.

James I'm recommending a 5150 hold for you as you're clearly dangerous to yourself and others. I know Ducks are not cup favorites... But last in the division ?? You have gone completely off the rails on this one. Even better the Pacific as the best division in hockey... What league ?? the AHL perhaps... Certainly not the NHL

Why do you think the central is stacked? Nashville and Winnipeg are very good. St Louis and Dallas are going to be decent (I'd say they're around equal to every team in the Pacific, except Vancouver who has to be considered terrible until proven otherwise).

But Chicago is a tire fire, and I don't think the Wild or Avalanche will be very good teams.

Last in the division is my random guess. I very clearly stated that these teams could finish in any order.

My reasoning is this: the Pacific has the most good teams. There maybe powerhouses in other divisions, but I think the Pacific is going to be the most random since there will be no absolutely terrible teams. (Excepting possibly Vancouver).

While I predicted the Ducks last, I also said they have among the best blue lines and goalies in the NHL and so they could easily also come first.

Pick the names of these teams out of a hat and you'll have the best chance of correctly predicting the standings. The NHL is already filled with parity and this is its most paritied division.

If i had to pick 3 teams I would say Ducks, Flames and Sharks makes it one way or another. The rest is a crapshoot.

I pretty much agree with your analysis of the Central, as there should be 4-5 teams making a playoff-bid (STL, WPG, NSH, MIN? and DAL?), where the first three should be serious threats in the whole Western conference. While i don't believe in CHI and COL currently, especially CHI should be never underestimated.

In Pacific i think especially CGY will surprise, and besides them i see SJS, LAK and EDM? making serious bids... not too optimstic about ANA, VGK, VAN and sadly also ARI.

Oh, and in the Atlantic exactly three teams will make the playoffs: TOR, TBL and BOS.

I like to think they’re both equally to blame.
